The reading problem
A caption should identify the pictured model and who published the image. It should not turn a catalog picture into an implied test result.
A directory is easiest to read in levels: publisher, brand family, exact model and source page. Similar styling is a weak substitute for a complete identifier.
A practical example
Foger Switch Pro has separate kit, pod and charging-device records. A component parameter should keep its component label.
Follow the family, then the model
Write down the subject, the publisher, the exact source address and what remains unknown. When another account repeats the statement, check whether it supplies new evidence or simply points back to the same original.
Where does this model sit in the directory?
A worked reading example: The family is a route through the library
An index can start with a brand, then present its named model families and the individual records available in this edition. That hierarchy helps a reader locate a subject without treating nearby entries as substitutes. PULSE and PULSE X remain distinct entries under Geek Bar. The Foger assembly and its components can share a collection while keeping their own source pages. Ingot and Pandora can be visually related in a directory without becoming the same identifier. If an entry is missing, the index should show that the edition is limited rather than imply the brand has no other products. Organization is a service to reading, not a completeness claim.
Check the caption
Read the image, caption and linked model heading as one record. Confirm that all three name the same object. Keep a picture of a component distinct from a picture of the complete arrangement.
Editorial takeaway: Use the directory as a map, and retain the limits of the collection.
A boundary worth keeping
A useful index preserves distinctions instead of treating every related name as a synonym.
The linked product publishers describe their own materials. This publication provides a reading structure; it does not claim to have independently tested devices or certified a market status.
